Within 24 hours of high flying Contender Promotions announcing a mammoth deal with combat sports giant BOOSTER, several other top brands have sealed landmark deals with the promotion as the pace quickens to host the SUPERKOMBAT World Series UK leg on April 4th.
Contender Promotions director Neil Peacock said: “The interest has been phenomenal it really has, local business has always supported Contender Promotions but since our sell out show that saw Paul Daley make his debut winning the Contender Promotions championship, the interest for the big names to get on board is immense, my self and Garry Bell must have clocked up nearly 500 miles in 2 days just trying to get around to everyone”.
The first deal of the week was the BOOSTER deal which will see all SUPERKOMBAT try-outs finalists April receive a bag with all their training equipment catered for courtesy of BOOSTER UK, the guys didn’t stop there.
Next on the list was a deal finalised in the early hours of the morning with top pro mouth guard specialist FUNKY GUMS.
Neil Peacock commented: “I had been chatting with Andrew at FUNKY GUMS for a while and loved how professional they were. I was amazed when he told me that over 100 professional fighters are on his books now, household names like UFCs DAN HARDY, ROSS PEARSON, BRAD PICKETT, COLIN FLETCHER, JAMES PENNINGTON and PAUL DALEY just to name a few, all using FUNKY GUMS pro gum guards. FUNKY GUMS will be in attendance at the live Superkombat world try-outs UK leg, April 4th in Middlesbrough.

It doesn’t stop there either, Garry Bell and his partner Neil Peacock had a trip to Sheffield to close a deal that will bring STRIKE RESEARCH to the SUPERKOMBAT UK try-outs. Strike-Mate – the worlds’ first and only standardised, PC based, calibrated product for analysing the impacts in sports.
