Bringing to an end a great 2016 for the organisation, ICE FC 18 will take place on October 28th at the Macron Stadium in Bolton. With the card now complete and full of both European and UK fighters, we can now take a closer look at what ICE FC 18 has to offer.

The card will be headlined by two title fights, with unbeaten star Pietro Menga looking to add the ICE FC Flyweight belt to his collection, and Blackledge MMA Light-Heavyweight Andrew Clamp eyeing a successful first defence.

Menga (13-0, 11 finishes) is the #1 flyweight in Europe, with wins over the likes of Rany Saadeh, Artemij Sitenkov and Spencer Hewitt. After almost two years out of action, he came back in style by KOing Hewitt in under a minute on his return at Bellator 158.

He meets Spanish-based Brazilian Carlos Eduardo de Azevedo, nicknamed ‘Teto Terranosa’. Having fought in his native Spain, as well as for other promotions around Europe such as M-1, he’ll be no stranger to going against the crowd, and has nothing to lose in a clash of this nature.

Clamp (8-1) has shown just how dangerous and focused he is with back-to-back wins under the ICE FC banner this year following his first defeat in December. Submitting Nicolas Djurdjevic and then dominating Wilfried Edmund to take the title, he is riding a good wave of momentum that has him tipped as the UK’s top Light-Heavyweight prospect.

His opponent, Bakary el Anwar, is a wrecking machine at 205lbs, with all five of his victories coming via knockout. He has taken on top opposition, and has wins over notable names in Boubacar Balde and Prince Aounallah. His aggression and power will be a test for Leigh’s Clamp, who has shown his wrestling and submission prowess.

Commonwealth Games wrestling medallist Mike Grundy is back in the cage after a swift victory over Zsolt Fenyes at ICE FC 17. Along with six more professional bouts, the calibre of competitors on the card is something ICE FC have put in place to shows the fans at the Macron Stadium that they mean business.

In the amateur ranks, there will be three title on the lines in well-matched bouts that could even usurp the pros for entertainment value.

Sunderland’s ‘The Dungeon’ bring a trio of title hopefuls from the North East, hoping to upset the North West contingent. Kieran Lister takes on SBG and FCPC man Antonio Sheldon, Luke Westwood will challenge James Cox for his Bantamweight title, and Justin Burlinson takes on an exceptional wrestler in Amir Ghasemi.

There are plenty more must-see bouts on the amateur undercard, featuring fighters from Blackledge MMA, Saul Rogers MMA, Impact MMA, SBG Ireland, Next Generation, and more.
