Despite denying initial reports, UFC Strawweight champion Joanna Jedrzejczyk is now confirmed to defend her crown and undefeated record against Jessica Andrade at UFC 211 in Dallas, Texas on May 13.

Joanna “Champion” (13-0 MMA, 7-0 UFC) announced the scheduled title bout eariler today. She took time out of her training schedule at American Top Team to drop the message on the FOXSports.com PROcast app via Twitter.

Jedrzejczyk has dominated the division since dethroning champion Carla Esparza at UFC 185 and will look to become the ninth UFC champion to successfully record five straight title defences. The Pol has already defended her belt against Jessica Penne, Valerie Letoruneau and Claudia Gadelha as well as a unanimous decision victory over fellow Pol Karolina Kowalkiewicz at UFC 205 in her most recent outing.

Andrade dominates all other challengers to earn shot

Andrade who has been the most active female fighter in the UFC since women’s divisions were introduced to the organisation will get her shot at the 115lb belt after an impressive decision victory over Angela Hill at UFC Fight Night 104 which claimed “Fight of The Night” honours.

Since making the move down from the bantamweight division, the Brazilian has also secured victories against Jessica Penne and Joanna Calderwood in which she was awarded “Performance of The Night” honours.
