Following the strategic merger between Legacy FC and Resurrection Fight Alliance (RFA), Legacy Fighting Alliance was born and holds it’s first show LFA 1, from The Bomb Factory in Dallas, Texas this weekend.

The headline bout of LFA 1 see’s the new promotion unify the Bantamweight titles as popular Legacy FC Bantamweight champion Steven Peterson takes on his RFA counterpart, Leandro Higo.

With a six-fight win streak stretching back to 2013, Texas native Peterson (14-4) will look to add to his 14 career wins, 10 of which he has finished inside the distance, and become the inaugural LFA Bantamweight champion.

Trained by The Pitbull Brothers and having won his three last fights, RFA champion Higo (16-2) will look to take the honour for himself and with 10 submission wins in his career is a very dangerous opponent for “Ocho”.

Whatever way this fight goes, after impressive runs in their respective promotions, the winner can expect a call up to the big leagues with UFC surely keeping an eye on this important and historic fight.

In the co-main event, Damon Jackson (10-1-1 1NC) will look to continue to bounce back from his disappointing UFC tenure by stringing together back-to-back victories for the first time since 2014 when he takes on ex-Fury FC Featherweight champion Charles Cheeks III (11-5).

Other fights of the card include undefeated Bantamweight prospect Eli Tamez (9-0) taking on Ulyses Aguila (6-1) and young Strawweight Montana Stewart (7-3) looking to get back on track following her loss to Mackenzie Dern when she faces Cynthia Calvillo (2-0).
