After much speculation, BAMMA will make its long awaited return on the 14th of September, with tickets already on sale for the National Indoor Arena in Birmingham. And to celebrate this comeback, they will be putting both the light-heavyweight and welterweight world titles on the line.

Much hyped Swedish prospect Max “Power” Nunes will do battle for the belt with one of his top European counterparts, Jason “The Villain” Jones, in the main event of the evening. Jones, who will be bitterly disappointed to have lost by knockout to Maciej Browarski in May, will be training with new camp in preparation for Nunes, having departed his long-time base at the Netherlands’ famous “Golden Glory” gym.

The ever improving “Judo” Jim Wallhead may finally have his chance to grasp the welterweight title following his demolition of UFC veteran Matt Veach at BAMMA 12. He will welcome another American to the organisation in the shape of Eddie “Fast” Ellis. Ellis, who fought under Shane Carwin on season 16 of The Ultimate Fighter, brings an impressive six fight win streak with him across the Atlantic for what will likely be the co-main event.

The card will see the continuation of BAMMA’s long-term relationship with UK broadcasters Channel 5, who will shown the two hour main event live on their digital sister station 5*, repeating the card on Channel 5 shortly thereafter. More fights will be announced in the coming weeks; these are expected to include fighters such as the Welsh paratrooper Jack Marshman, and former UFC lightweight Curt Warburton, who will be keen for high-profile opposition having been denied the opportunity to fight long-term rival Rob Sinclair by to his recent departure to Bellator.
