Verbal agreements are in place for two new additions to Manchester’s UFC Fight Night 30 card on October 26. A member of Chael Sonnen’s ‘Team Darkside’ and middleweight quarter finalist of The Ultimate Fighter 17, Luke Barnatt (6-0) is expected to face Andrew Craig (9-1), with welterweight finalist of TUF: The Smashes Bradley Scott (8-2) facing Dutchman Michael Kuiper (12-2) in a middleweight bout.
The 6’6” Barnatt (pictured) earned his first UFC victory when taking on fellow TUF contender Collin Hart, at the TUF 17 Finale in April. ‘Bigslow’ faces experienced opposition at UFN 30, with Andrew ‘Highlight’ Craig having most recently battled to a split decision win over fan favourite Chris Leben at UFC 162, following a head kick KO of Rafael Natal, and a UFC debut victory against Kyle Noke last year. Craig’s single career loss via unanimous decision was to Brazil’s Ronny Markes.
Making his first middleweight appearance since losing The Smashes welterweight final to Australia’s Robert Whittaker, Scott will likely be looking forward to an easier weight cut, with Kuiper having most recently been submitted by Tom Lawlor at UFC on Fuel TV in Stockholm, on April 6.
