BAMMA have today announced three more bouts to the card for its second Fight Night event which takes place on 2nd August at Liverpool Olympia. The headliner for “BAMMA Fight Night: Chadwick vs Pascu” sees local veteran Lee Chadwick clash with Romanian Ion Pascu at Middleweight.

New additions to the card include Tim Menzies facing Chris Hoban at Welterweight, Mike Cutting squaring off against Richard Edwards at Featherweight and Mike Berry warring with Danny Missin at Flyweight.

TIM MENZIES VS CHRIS HOBAN

In follow up to his BAMMA debut victory over James Samuda, Farnborough’s Tim “The Yeti” Menzies scored his 2nd professional win over Lee Taylor in March. The Andy Roberts BJJ fighter took the step up to face the more experienced Alex Montagnani at “BAMMA Fight Night: Askham vs Nunes” earlier this month to lose via flying knee KO, to bring his professional record to 2-1.  Menzies holds a previous Amateur (Semi-Pro) record of 4-1-0 and a matching K1 record of 4-1-0. He is a blue belt in Brazilian Jiu Jitsu. An exciting prospect and a dangerous striker, Menzies has spent periods out in the United States training under Matt Hughes at Hughes Intensive Training.

Chris Hoban brings a professional record of 9-5-0, and was on a recent 9 fight win streak until he clashed with Tim Newman to lose on Decision at OMMAC in March, in a Lightweight title bout. Hoban is a  Novice Championships gold medallist in Freestyle wrestling, a British Freestyle closed wrestling silver medallist and has won multiple gold medals in grappling competitions, besides holding a 2-0-0 record in “Semi-Pro” boxing. A popular face on the North West circuit, Hoban fights out of Atherton Wrestling. 6 of his 9 victories have come in the first round with 78% via Submission.

MIKE CUTTING VS RICHARD EDWARDS

Jiu Jitsu blackbelt Michael ‘Gip’ Cutting fights out of Kyouken MMA in Hampshire. Cutting has faced some heavily more experienced competition and has attained all his victories via Submission, the majority by Rear Naked Choke and 1 by Inverted Heel-Hook. Cutting has also earned the Into the Cage Bantamweight belt, prior to competing at “BAMMA Fight Night: Askham vs Nunes” to lose to protégé, Ed Arthur. Cutting currently holds a professional MMA record of 4-3.

Richard ” New York Shogun” Edwards possesses a 1-3 record, and fights out of Keddles, Legacy BJJ and Team Titan. Most of his bouts to date have been against more weathered opponents. The New Yorker is a risk-taker and none of his fights have gone past the first round. He scored his first victory by TKO. His last outing at BAMMA 15 saw him lose to undefeated prospect, Andy Craven.

MIKE BERRY VS DANNY MISSIN

Mike Berry fights out of Predators MMA in Manchester with a record of 1-0. His professional debut saw him attain a victory in just 17 seconds via TKO. With a previous Amateur record of 5-2, Berry earned the Amateur FCC Flyweight title last year. He holds a Black Belt in kick-boxing and a Blue Belt in BJJ under Rodrigo Antunes/Gav Boardman

Danny “Mini-Hulk” Missin stands with a record of 4-2-0 with 1 victory via KO/TKO and 3 wins via submission. Missin made his professional debut in October 2012, defeating Anthony Ferguson via submission in the 1st round. This kicked off a four-fight winning streak for Missin which was stopped by Huseyin Garabet due to a decision in his opponent’s favour. Missin fights out of Allegiance MMA in Yorkshire under Neil Hall.
