Fighters from Iceland’s renown Mjolnir MMA gym are set to travel for competition under the banner British amateur promotion Shinobi War, when the promotion stage their third installment on Sept. 20 with Shinobi War 3: “Divide and Conquer”.
Shinobi MMA Fighting Championships are thrilled to announce that the promotion has secured 3 fighters from the prestigious Mjolnir MMA gym to fight on the upcoming Shinobi War 3: Divide And Conquer card.
Mjolnir MMA is home to UFC starlet Gunnar ‘Gunni’ Nelson and regularly hosts training camps for Conor McGregor and the rest of the SBG team. The next generation of Mjolnir MMA Vikings are now planning a takeover of their own, though they plan on lighting up the biggest Shinobi War to date.
Firstly, Igor Puskarskis has withdrawn from his prospective fight with Hustle Gym’s Amadeusz Arczewski (2-1). However, Mjolinir MMA’s Bjarni Kristjansson has stepped in to fill the void in a middleweight clash that promises to epitomise the motto: “We Come To Fight.” Having defeated the Danny Holmes at Shinobi War 2, Arczewski needs a bigger challenge, and that comes in the form of Kristjansson. Don’t be fooled by his 0-1 record, Kristjansson trains with the likes of ‘Gunni’ and a crop of Iceland’s best. He will be looking to avenge his debut defeat that also came on UK soil.
Perhaps one of the brightest stars of both Shinobi events so far has been the unbeaten hometown hero Bobby Pallett (4-0). The promotional veteran fights out of HFFS and is coached by UKMMA Icon Tom Blackledge. Pallett will face Mjolnir MMA’s unbeaten prospect Birgir Tomasson in an extremely interesting, intensely mouthwatering and very important lightweight matchup.
Lastly and mostly importantly, Anthony O’Connor (7-0) will return to Shinobi War 3 and will face Thor Palsson (4-1) in a much anticipated Shinobi MMA FC Lightweight Title Bout. O’Connor is a big powerful lightweight and after a 18 month absence from the cage he has put together back-to-back stoppage wins. Palsson is an extremely talented fighter who combines slick striking with an excellent ground game. This bout has all the hallmarks of a classic and that is why is will serve as the main event for Shinobi War 3.
The Vikings are certainly sailing with every Shinobi slogan fresh in their minds. They are coming to fight, they are coming to divide and conquer and they are coming with intense, unorthodox warfare to boot. With two title fights already set in stone, make sure you don’t miss this huge MMA extravaganza.
