UFC contender Nate Diaz (17-9) has flagged a statement made by UFC president Dana White who claimed that Diaz in particular turned down a fight with undefeated Russian Khabib Nurmagomedov (21-0). White continued to suggest that the entire lightweight division wanted nothing to do with ‘The Eagle’.

However, in true Diaz Brother fashion, the uncensored Gracie Jiu Jitsu black belt responded via Twitter:

A former UFC lightweight title challenger, Diaz most recently knocked out fellow former title challenger Gray Maynard, at the TUF 18 Finale on Nov. 30, 2013. In contrast, Nurmagomedov secured a unanimous decision victory over Pat Healy at UFC 165 in September, for what was the Russian’s fifth straight UFC victory since joining the promotion Januray, 2012.
