It has this evening emerged that exciting welterweight prospect’s Nathan Jones (4-1) and Khalid Ismail will go to war at UCMMA 37.
The bout which will be for welterweight title, was originally hinted at via Facebook earlier today and conformed today during the UCMMA 36 press conference.
Welterweight contender jones had the following to say about his upcoming clashing with Khalid Ismail.
So I got the call to fight Khalid Ismail. A fight that was bound to happen at some point. This is for an added cherry – the UCMMA title… some may say its too soon for me, however hard works pays off. And I have been grinding this past year. We are both finishers so don’t blink and expect fireworks. We will not need the judges. Hes called the dessert lion… and no one wants to fight him?? Well then.. the desserts lying! No doubt im the underdog but my time is now. I will show london and the mma community what season it is. Its bag and tag season and im a bad bitch! Playtime is over
Jones who was crowned Fury welterweight champion last month when he defeated Mateusz Nadlonly via 1st round triangle submission at Fury MMA 9, will look to add the UCMMA title to his collection when he faces the toughest test of his career against LDG’s “Desert Lion” Ismail, who is undefeated so far in his MMA career.
UCMMA 37 will take place at London’s Troxy Threatre on 30th November.
