Brand new kickboxing promotion Super Fight Series Championship is set to make its debut in London, England during Spring 2015 and will feature a number of 4-man tournaments, which will showcase some of the best talent UK kickboxing, has to offer.
In total there will be in excess of £20,000 up for grabs in various events, and thus far two four man tournaments have been announced, with at least three more expected.
In the -90kg four man £10,000 tourney competitors that have been confirmed to be entering include Superkombat WGP tournament finalist Micky Terill, 4-times world champion Andrew “King Cobra” Tate who recently won the Enfusion 90kg belt by beating Dutch legend Wendell Roche and the tournament will also feature Lyndon Knowles as well as Adam Hart.
Joe McGovan and Chris Cooper are on reserve should any of the other fighters get injured.
In the £5,000 -77kg four man, the competition is a deadly pool of former world champions, including: Kevin Ward, James Gridley, Marlon Hunt and Chad Sugden, with Nigel Thomas and Aiden Brooks acting as tournament reserves.
The event is being touted as the biggest kickboxing event in UK history, and thus far, it has lived up to that title, with plenty more big names still expected to be declared.
Super Fighter Series promoter Amir Subasic said: “SFS started with a BANG and set a new standard for the UK Professional Kickboxing Scene…the vibration is felt abroad and will put our UK fighters on an even bigger Map!!! Let them come to us like in History they tried…ALL UNITE 2 FIGHT!”
