It’s come down to the final day of the IMMAF World Championships of Amateur MMA, currently taking place in Las Vegas, with 13 championships bouts set to take place today at the Sands Expo and Convention Center, in collaboration with the UFC Expo and International Fight week and will be available to view on UFC Fight Pass.
Following the success of the 2014 championships where Team UK claimed five medals (4 Bronze, 1 Silver), this year’s team have two golden opportunities with Josh Ellis taking on Tuuka Repo of Finland in the Men’s Lightweight final, and Middleweight finalist James Duckett facing the USA’s Brendan Allen.
Ireland’s Frans Mlambo also made it to the Men’s Featherweight final alongside Sinead Kavanagh chasing gold in the Women’s Featherweight division.
