Rap superstar Wiz Khalifa, more commonly known for his hits in the music industry, is training for hits of a different kind.
As reported by TMZ, the American star is currently training in mixed martial arts and looks like he could be preparing for life inside the cage.
Khalifa’s been training with FOX Sport‘s Jay Glazer and UFC bantamweight Cat Zingano on the pads and the workout makes good viewing for both fans of the superstar rapper and diversity in MMA.
The training took place in Ayia Napa when the notorious marijuana-lover went on holiday to the Balearic Islands. Wiz decided to train whilst on holiday but looks very committed to training in the discipline.
Glazer was quick to comment on the artist’s power, insisting “Wiz has hands”, implying the man mountain has some serious snap in punches.
The obvious fantasy match-up should Khalifa take MMA seriously is Khalifa vs Snoop Dogg, who now commentaries on Dana White‘s Contender Series and tongue-in-cheek comments on how he would love to fight. Both standing at 6ft 4 and having a clear interest in MMA, the bout would certainly make for interesting viewing.
Should Khalifa take the sport as his next path in life, he will be sure to have a serious backing behind him. And with his reputation, do not be surprise if he overtake’s the Diaz brothers’ reputation for the green leaf.
