Superkombat Fighting Championship have announced their next European stop. The Geneva Arena in Geneva, Switzerland plays host to the World Grand Prix Final Elimination on on October 25th and will be headlined by a Super-Cruiserweight title fight, as Andrei Stoica defends his belt against Moises Baute.

Spain’s Moises Baute shocked a lot of people at the World Grand Prix tournament in Constanta, Romania, after he defeated highly touted English kickboxer Micky Terrill in the final. Andrei Stoica had held the belt since his 2013 win over Ondrej Hutnik, and after an impressive win over Ali Cenik in June, he will defend the belt for only the second time against Baute. 

The event will also include a 4-man -86 kg tournament.  The former Superkombat Cruiserweight Champion Bogdan Stoica has been given the number one seed, and despite beating Stoica at New Heroes 7, Spain’s Jorge Loren  has been seeded second. The winner of Superkombat World Grand Prix I tournament, Poland’s Dawid Kasperski is seeded third, and the new sensation of Great Britain, Micky Terrill claiming the final seed.

Superkombat President Eduard Irimia showed his excitement for the promotion’s European expansion in a press conference today: “In the last three seasons, we only had heavyweights in Superkombat World Grand Prix Final Elimination, this year we made some changes and the Light Heavyweight has been shown to be one of the most spectacular divisions. So, in October, in Geneva, we will have four elimination fights and the winners will face-off in the 4-man final tournament from November. We have 4 seeding fighters and we will select another four in next days.”

The Geneva event also includes a title eliminator for the -81kg Superkombat New Heroes Title as local hero Yoann Kongolo faces off with the winner of Superkombat World Tryouts from Middlesbrough, Jamie Bates.

Superkombat have also announced that the World Grand Prix Final will be held in Monza, Italy for on November 22nd.
