After a shin injury to Liam Harrison forced him to pull out of his scheduled fight at Yokkao 11, it has just been announced that Tim “TNT” Thomas will step in to face Kongsak Sitboonmee on October 11th at the Reebok in Bolton, England.
As we previously reported, Harrison’s injury, which he picked up at Smash Muay Thai 8 in a decision win over Mehdi Zathout wasn’t suspected to keep him out of the fight with Kongsak, however after a doctor’s examination he was indecisively ruled out of the bout.
Taking the place of the Bad Company fighter is UK standup veteran, Nak Soo Muay Thai’s Tim “TNT” Thomas who will compete with Kongsak at 65kg in a 5×5 Muay Thai matchup.
Thomas is no stranger to the promotion, appearing against Reece McAllister at Yokkao 8, with a 61-15-2 record.
It is argued that Kongsak will be the toughest test of Thomas’s career, as the man with over 300 fights still awaits the challenge of Harrison: “I imagined that Liam for one reason or another would not fight with me. I’m ready for any fighter.”
