UFC officials have opted to postpone the featherweight title clash of Jose Aldo vs Chad Mendes and have scrapped the UFC 176 event altogether with the scheduled fights being divided among up coming events.
The show was originally scheduled for Aug.2 at the Staples Center in Los Angeles, California. However, Aldo was forced to withdraw from defending his 145lb crown in a second encounter with top contender Mendes due to shoulder and spinal injuries sustained in training.
