As you click on the link, you may feel conflicted in your feelings, but you’re not really surprised by the prospect, are you? Ronda Rousey could very well be heading to the WWE ring on a more long-term basis, and after placing an abrupt hold on her MMA career, it seems like a perfect switch for the first ever UFC women’s champion.

Fightful.com are reporting that Rousey — who’s “Rowdy” nickname is inspired by WWE Hall of Famer Roddy Piper — ‘has expressed interest in a pro wrestling run’ and has already wet her toes, taking a few bumps with WWE cruiserweight talent Brian Kendrick in Southern California.

This all came about after Rousey appeared at the WWE Network tapings of the Mae Young Classic in Orlando, Florida, which featured her ‘Four Horsewomen’ stablemate Shayna Baszler. Rousey was also joined by the other half of the team, Jessamyn Duke and Marina Shafir.

At the tapings — which happened on July 13 — WWE teased a potential showdown between the ‘UFC’ Horsewomen and WWE’s own version of the stable which includes wrestlers Charlotte Flair, Sasha Banks, Becky Lynch and Bayley

The 30-year-old’s potential interest in the WWE comes as nothing new, with Rousey appearing at Wrestlemania 31 in March 2015, where she slammed WWE figurehead Triple H on his back. The WWE has reportedly been courting the former UFC champion ever since.

If this report turns out to be true, it would likely put an indefinite hold on Ronda’s MMA career, which does not come as too much of a surprise. Her last appearance came at UFC 207 in December 2016, where she lost in just 48 seconds to champion Amanda Nunes.

Since then, the Rousey camp has remained relatively hush on a return to the Octagon, making the possibility less likely by the day.

Rousey also recently launched her brand new website, RondaRousey.com which teases major news on the landing page.
