BAMMA 29 takes place at the Genting Arena in Birmingham on May 12. The promotion returns to the Midlands after a fantastic show in 2016 where current UFC starlet Tom Duquesnoy headlined against Shay Walsh, gaining his second BAMMA world title in the process.

Former champion Walsh will be looking for better fortunes in Birmingham this time round when he enters the cage against the highly experienced Aaron Blackwell.

The headline event will see former Bellator heavyweight title challenger Brett McDermott lock horns with Ruben Wolf as two giants go to war.

The co-main is between two top middleweights in the form of Matt Hallam and Yannick Bahati. With none of Hallam’s fights going the distance and just two of Bahati’s nine professional bouts going to the scorecards, the match-up promises to be exciting.

Top prospect Daniel Crawford will face off against veteran Ronnie Mann in what is set to be Crawford’s toughest test to date.

Terry Brazier will be looking to continue his relentless form and make it seven victories in a row, but faces one of the best welterweights in the UK in Walter Gahadza who amassed an incredible 16 consecutive victories before his first and only loss, a split decision to Nathan Jones. They will compete for the Lonsdale belt.

Lightweight champion Tim Barnett will face the experienced Mario Saeed in his first defence of the title since beating Rhys McKee at BAMMA 28.

Other notable fighters on the BAMMA 29 card include Rick Selvarajah and the pro debut of former Irish amateur standout Cian Cowley.

A big talking point surrounding BAMMA 29 is the mixed martial arts debut of Aaron Chalmers, formerly of reality TV show Geordie Show. He will face off against Greg Jenkins.
