A lightweight clash between Norman Parke (22-5-1) and Paul Redmond (11-6) is set to be headline BAMMA 28.

Hometown boy Parke who’s  9-fights fight run with the UFC came to an end last February at UFC Fight Night 84 after he was defeated by Rustam Khabilov quickly rebounded from this setback by scoring a unanimous decision win over fellow Brit Andrew Fisher at ACB 47 in October.

Now the 29-year old, Next Generation Gym trained fighter will looked to secure back to back victories by defeating Dubliner Redmond when the pair meet.

His opponent Redser will also enter the cage on the back of a unanimous decision win over Chris Stringer at BAMMA 26 will also look to record his second successive victory since he suffered a KO loss to Scotland’s Robert Whiteford at UFC Fight Night 72 in July 2015.

Also added to the card is a co-main event clash which will see England’s Ronny “Iron” Mann taking on Frances Damien ‘Frankenstein’ Lapels for the BAMMA featherweight world title.

Mann (25-8-1) was awarded a shot at BAMMA gold after 1st round, highlight reel KO of Graham Turner at BAMMA 25: Champion vs. Champion in May.

For Lapels (14-6-1-1) it will be a chance at redemption after his last appearance was marred by illegal Knee to a grounded Martin Stapleton resulted in disqualification of the 28-year old who trains out of the MMA Factory in Paris, France.

BAMMA 28 will take place at the SSE Arena in Belfast, Northern Ireland on Saturday, February 24 and MMA Plus will be there to bring you up to the minute results.
