After a two-week break Cage Warriors makes its long awaited return to the capital to hold their 74th show at the Copper Box Arena this Saturday (November 15th). This event is headlined by CWFC welterweight champion Nicolas Dalby who makes the first defence of his title against Norway’s Mohsen Bahari.
The undefeated Rumble Sports trained Dalby (12-0) will step into the cage looking to extend the unbeaten start to his mixed martial arts career to 13-fights when he faces off against Frontline Academy trained Bahari (8-1). Fellow Scandinavian Bahari, who is currently riding a 3-fight win streak has only tasted defeat once in his career when he suffered a shock 44-second heel hook submission loss to Matt Inman at CWFC 57 in July, 2013. Dalby recently spoke exclusively to MMA Plus ahead of CWFC 74, checkout the full feature HERE.
In the co-main event the inaugural CWFC Women’s bantamweight champion will be crowned when Pannie Kianzad (6-0) takes on Eeva Siiskonen (3-1). After competing for over 9-years in various disciplines and having gone undefeated so far in her mixed martial arts career, Kianzad will look to secure her 7th professional win and claim the women’s bantamweight title. Her opponent, 32-year old Siiskonen makes her CWFC debut on the back of a 2nd-round TKO victory over Inga Kaledaite at Carelia Fight 10 this past September, but will face the toughest test of her career when she faces the Rumble Sport’s Kianzad who also spoke exclusively to MMA Plus and you can checkout the full feature HERE.
Also on the main card will be a pair of lightweight encounters which could see the winners stack their respective claims to the next shot at the CWFC lightweight champion, Stevie “Braveheart” Ray. In the first bout SBG Manchester’s Saul “Hangman” Roger (8-1) will face Mick Sinclair (12-4) in a North West derby. In the second lightweight bout on the main card “Irish” Joe Duffy (11-1) takes on France’s Julien Boussuge (10-3) who fights out of team Haute Tension in Paris.
The bout that kicks off the main card is the highly anticipated return of former BAMMA British welterweight champion and one of the most highly touted fighters in the UK, Tom “Fearless” Breese (6-0) who after more than a year out with an ACL injury makes his long awaited Cage Warriors debut against Philip Mulpeter (7-4) who fights out of SBG Ireland.
