Phil Wells and Aaron Khalid are set to collide in the Cage Warriors Wales main event.

Whilst the glitz and the glamour of Cage Warriors 81 may be taking place in Dublin, Cage Warriors are simultaneously bringing the fights to Newport, Wales on March 4.

In the main event, The MAT Academy Wales prospect Aaron Khalid takes on SVT Swindon’s Phil Wells in a welterweight contest, with the winner putting himself in pole position for a feature fight at Cage Warriors 83.

Greek fighter Alexandros Gerolimatos heads into enemy territory as he faces Jack Shore in a bantamweight contest in the night’s co-main event. Shore recently cornered fellow Tillery Combat MMA fighter Jack Marshman at UFC Halifax and both he and Gerolimatos will look to retain their unbeaten records tonight. Gerolimatos was the only fighter on the card to miss weight, coming in 1lbs over the Featherweight threshold.

Gracjan Bak steps in on short notice to take on unbeaten submission specialist Richard Williams, whilst Damo Weeden, who was initially set to fight in the main event, faces veteran Joe Orrey. 2015 IMMAF lightweight world champion Josh Ellis makes his professional debut against Daniel Hodor, whilst the pro card is rounded off with a featherweight clash between two debuting fighters in Ethan Charlesworth and Nathan Ford.
