For the first time since August 2014, Cage Warriors return to their spiritual home of Ireland for CW 81 on March 4.

The event takes place from the 3Arena in Dublin and will feature the likes of Lloyd Manning, Joe McColgan, Karl Moore, Catherine Costigan and Darren O’ Gorman.

Ireland has always been a strong location for Cage Warriors, running six shows there between 2012 and 2014, acting as the launching pad for Irish talents such as Conor McGregor, Neil Seery, Cathal Pendred and Aisling Daly.

“I’m both proud and excited to be heading back to Ireland for Cage Warriors 81,” said CW president Graham Boylan to CageWarriors.com.

“As a proud Irishman myself I’ve always been committed to the growth of mixed martial arts in Ireland, and CW 81 represents the latest opportunity for Irish MMA to shine on the big stage.”

No bouts have been announced as of yet for the promotion’s homecoming, although Cage Warriors confirmed on their website that Northern Ireland’s Moore will vie for the vacant Cage Warriors light-heavyweight title. Moore knocked out Paco Estevez in the first round at Cage Warriors Unplugged last November to earn his shot at the belt.

Highly touted lightweight prospect McColgan; who holds a win over SBG Ireland’s Peter Queally, will make his CW debut on March 4. Meanwhile, Cork featherweight Manning – fresh off a win against Nathan Sparks in November – will face Scotland’s Paul McBain.

“Obviously I’m delighted to be on the card and it being Cage Warriors return to Ireland it makes the night a little bit more special,” commented 2014 IMMAF World Amateur bronze medallist Manning.

Tickets for the event go on sale on Wednesday, February 1 and are priced between 90 and 25 Euros.
