Cage Warriors’ first-ever London born champion Nathaniel Wood once again grabbed headlines for the promotion with an incredible first-round stoppage against Josh Reed in his first title defence at Cage Warriors 86.

Wood successfully defended his CW strap against Wales’ Reed, who fought valiantly at the Indigo at the O2 on Saturday, September 16, going out on his shield after an early onslaught gave the Englishman a serious amount of trouble in front of a raucous crowd.

Tillery Combat’s Reed would wobble Wood early on, but the young Londoner managed to survive before launching an attack of his own, which eventually forced veteran referee Marc Goddard to intervene.
