The Ultimate Fighting Championship has today announced that Cole Miller (21-8) has been forced to withdraw from his scheduled bout with Irish superstar Conor McGregor (14-2) next month.

Miller was forced to withdraw after tearing ligaments in his right thumb and as a resulted the stakes for SBG fighter have now increased as McGregor now faces fellow ranked featherweight and the man who won season 14 of The Ultimate Fighter Diego Brandao (18-9).

Brandao steps in to face the brash Irishman after his 3-fight winning streak came to an abrupt end at UFC 168 when he was wrong end of a 1st round TKO loss to Dustin Poirier. The Brazilian will look to bounce quickly against McGregor who is making his first UFC appearance since suffering a torn ACL against Max Holloway in August 2013.

UFC Fight Night 46, takes place at the o2 arena in Dublin on Saturday, July 19th.
