The biggest fight in European MMA history is official. On November 28th 2015 KSW middleweight champion Michał Materla (22-4, 4 KO, 12 Sub) will defend his title against the biggest MMA star in this part of the world Mamed Khalidov (30-4-2, 11 KO, 17 Sub). KSW 33: Materla vs Khalidov takes place in the largest indoor arena Poland – Krakow’s TAURON Arena.

The 31-year-old from Szczecin has held the KSW championship title since 2012, when he outpointed Angolan striker Jay Silva. The Berserkers Team product went on to defend his title four times, beating Rodney Wallace, Kendall Grove, Silva again and most recently the Polish MMA legend Tomasz Drwal. Materla is universally recognized as the bravest and the most spectacular fighter in Poland, earning a record-breaking number of Polish MMA awards.

Four year his senior Khalidov boats a nine fight winning streak in KSW. The Chechen-born fighter holds submission victories over Matt Lindland, Jesse Taylor, Melvin Manhoef, Ryuta Sakurai and Kendall Grove. In his most recent outing, he outpointed former Bellator title contender Brett Cooper, fighting through a severe spine injury. Returning from surgery and half-year long recovery the KSW superstar finally contends for the middleweight gold.
