In the main event of ONE Grit and Glory, Japans Yoshitaka Naito claimed a razor-thin split decision victory over Alex Silva of Brazil to recapture the ONE Strawweight World Championship.

From the outset, it was a technical affair with both men displaying their expertise on the mat as they battled to gain a grip on the contest. Naito showcased his excellent wrestling to consistently take the former champion down to the canvas.

But despite regularly having to fight off his back Silva expertly utilized his world-class Brazilian jiu-jitsu to keep his opponent on his toes but in the end, it would not be enough to earn him the win as his Japanese foe’s grappling proved too much.

In the final round, Naito would put some daylight between himself and his Brazilian foe to recapture the gold he lost to Silva last December to emerge the victor on two of the three judges’ scorecards to earn the win.

Local Hero Rahardian puts on a spectacular performance to the delight of his home fans

After trading strikes with Kaushik in the opening moments of the bout, Rahardian would shoot for the takedown, bringing his opponent to the canvas. Once on the mat, Rahardian quickly took the back and secured the rear naked choke to seal the deal.

Ataides earns title shot after impressive striking display en route to stopping Bigdash

Leandro Ataides of Brazil solidified his position as a top contender in ONE Championship’s talented middleweight division by defeating former world champion Vitaly Bigdash via third-round stoppage.

From the first round to the last, Ataides utilized his speed and power to continuously outstrike Bigdash, who responded with counterpunches to keep the multiple times world BJJ champion honest.

In the final round, Ataides would connect with a superman punch, sending Bigdash crashing to the canvas. Once on the mat, Ataides unleash a relentless barrage of punches to secure the finish.
