A fight between Sweden’s Mats Nilsson (11-3-1) and Russia’s Omari Akhmedov (13-2) is rumoured to be booked for UFC 182.
Nilsson made a disappointing start to his UFC career when he suffered a 1st round TKO loss to England’s Luke Barnatt at UFC Fight Night 37, in London, England prompting a move down to welterweight which the Rumble Sports trained fighter exclusively revealed to Swedish news outlet MMANytt,
Nilsson’s opponent Akhmedov made a great start to his UFC career when he knocked out Thiago Perpetuo on his debut but was would be on the wrong end of a 1st round submission loss at the hands of Icelandic fighter Gunnar Nelson also at UFC Fight Night 37 this past March.
