The humorous saga between middleweight giants Yoel Romero and Michael Bisping continues as Romero fires more shots at the UFC champion ahead of their much anticipated showdown this year.

The Cuban has been very active on social media in the build-up to the clash with Bisping playing his part in numerous exchanges.

Fundraiser for Bisping’s medical expenses

Yoel Romero today took to Twitter to mock the middleweight champion, posting “I’m raising money for Michael Bisping Medical Expenses. Click to Donate…”

This comes after numerous taunts from “Soldier of God” threatening to end the Mancunian’s career and boldly claiming Bisping will retire before the two meet.

“He will be needing money to survive”

The gofundme description in full reads: “This is Mike, he will be needing money to survive after me and him meet in the octagon approximately May of 2017. He is happy in this picture after defending his title against another fighter and the devastation he went through has caused him to have surgery on his knee where all the visible damage was on his face. This surgery has prevented him from competing in a timely manner. After his fight with me, I am convinced he will need this money to rebuild his life, he has a family and I am deeply concerned for him. Please help any way that you can as all funds will be used for medical expenses and his retirement party. Thank you for your time and #ynuevo.”

“We will fight when I decide”

The middleweight king replied in typical fashion by quoting “yap yap yap little doggie. We will fight when I decide, you have no say in this. Until then you are my little b*tch.”

With Bisping clearly believing he has the upper hand in the situation, it will be interesting to see how Romero responds to the coolness of the Englishman. More interestingly, the 37-year-old insists he has the power to call when they fight, despite UFC president Dana White insisting Romero is next in line for a shot at the title.

Will Romero walk the walk?

After all that’s been said, it seems the champion has remained relatively calm at the situation, leaving it hard to see who has the mental edge. The American Top Team athlete has been after a title shot for a long time and after White announced Romero will get his title shot, the number one contender was quick to converse with the English champion on social media and whip fans up into a frenzy.

The question remains if Romero will live up to expectations after talking the talk and setting the bar so high for expected fireworks between the pair. Not only is the 39-year-old confident of victory, he is insistent on doing so in emphatic style.
