Ronda Rousey

In a move that has surprised many, UFC president Dana White has this evening announced via video message on his instagram account that the fight between women’s bantamweight champion Ronda Rousey (10-0) and fellow undefeated fighter (9-0) Cat Zingano has been moved to UFC 184.

The fight was originally scheduled to act as the co-main event for UFC 182 which is headline by the light heavyweight title fight between Jon Jones and Daniel Cormier, but will act as the co-main event behind the headline bout between middleweight champion Chris Weidman (12-0) and Brazilian Vitor Belfort (24-10).

This will be third time this bout has been scheduled to take place after Blackzilians trained Belfort was forced to withdraw from their first scheduled fight due to his Testosterone-replacement therapy exemption being rescinded by the NSAC and more recently due to Weidman being forced to withdraw from their scheduled UFC 181 fight due to a broken hand.

UFC 184 will takes place at the Staple Centre in Los Angeles on February 28th, 2015 and MMA Plus will bring you more news on this event as we get it.
