The UFC have announced the addition of a further two fights to the upcoming UFC FIGHT NIGHT: GUSTAFSSON vs. TEIXEIRA fight card in Berlin, Germany, on June 20. Local athlete Dennis Siver (pictured) will face off against Japan’s Tatsuya ‘The Crusher’ Kawajiri and Sweden’s Niklas Backstrom will take on American Kickboxing Academy product Noad Lahat.

With a 22-10-1 record Siver will be looking to return to winning ways following a defeat to Conor McGregor in Boston, USA, on January 18. Kawajiri (33-8-2) last fought and lost to Clay Guida on April 11 last year, but also recorded an impressive win against Sean Soriano on January 4, 2014.

Siver said: “I’m really looking forward to fight to my opponent Tatsuya Kawajiri . He’s a very experienced man and has fought in many big organisations. When I had my first fights he was already in Pride. I think style-wise this should be a good match for me.

“I’m happy to finally fight in Germany again. A lot of friends and supporters will come to Berlin. I will deliver a great fight for the German fans.”

The UFC announced last week  that No.2 ranked light heavyweight, Alexander “The Mauler” Gustafsson, will make his return to the Octagon at Berlin’s O2 World Arena to face No.6 ranked, Glover Teixeira.

Niklas Backstrom vs. Noad Lahat, meanwhile, will also feature on the fight card in Berlin. Swedish featherweight Backstrom made his UFC debut against Tom Niinimaki at last year’s UFC Berlin event. He will face Lahat, fighting out of San Jose California, who holds a record of 8-1-0.

Following a seuccessful UFC debut, with victory over Niinimaki, Sweden’s Backstrom will look to return to winning ways following a defeat to the UK’s Mike Wilkinson, on Backstrom’s home soil back in October 2014.

Featherweight judo specialist Lahat secured a win over Steven Siler at UFC FIGHT NIGHT: LAWLER vs. BROWN in July 2014.
