One of mixed martial arts’ most promising talents Tom Duquesnoy will make his UFC debut against Patrick Williams on April 15 at UFC on Fox 24.

This comes as welcome news as the 23-year-old starlet has built an incredible fanbase over his career so far, particularly in his BAMMA days with recent notable wins over Shay Walsh and Alan Philpott.

The Frenchman has a near immaculate record of (15-1-1NC) with his only loss coming to Finnish Prospect Makwan Amirkhani. It had been rumoured for around a year that “Firekid” would sign for the UFC so it came as no shock when the Paris native signed on January 16.

35-year-old Williams has an impressive record of (8-4) but with so few fights, despite being the younger athlete, Duquesnoy will be the more experienced fighter entering the octagon and likely be the favourite for the bout.

The Jackson-Wink MMA man joins an equally hyped French talent in heavyweight prospect and contender Francis Ngannou. Whilst the fundamentals of the sport are banned in France such as the octagon and several of the sport’s key techniques, the overall growth of the sport seems to be on the rise in France with the two UFC starlets flying the flag for France.
