A fan made UFC 189 promo for the welterweight world title contest between current champion Robbie Lawler and Rory MacDonald is taking the internet by storm!
YouTuber Hizzer Edits regularly makes UFC promotional videos on his channel but his latest video is causing quite a stir in the mixed martial arts circle.
UFC 189, which goes down July 11, from the MGM Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas, Nevada has thus far been prominently promoted for its featherweight championship clash between fierce rivals Jose Aldo and Conor McGregor.
In the co-main event of UFC 189, Robbie Lawler is set to make the first defence of his 170lb title, after defeating Johny Hendricks by split decision UFC 181.
The 33 year-old re-invigorated fighter already holds a win over MacDonald citing a split decision in 2013; at UFC 167.
Since that loss, “Red King” has been on a three fight win streak, including the scalps of Demian Maia, Tyron Woodley, Tarec Saffiedine.
In his big title match-up, long in the making, a lot of people question the Canadian’s failure to live up to the hype bestowed upon him by former welterweight champion, and Tristar team-mate Georges St-Pierre.
You’ve probably not seen much, or heard much from these two in the build up; with their limited appearances during the UFC World Tour, but his fantastic promo package will surely ignite previously unrequited feelings of emotional investment ahead of July 11.
