Rizin FF 4 better known as the finals of the Rizin Fighting World Grand Prix 2016 takes place on Saturday, December 2016 at the world famous Saitama Super Arena in Saitama, Japan.

The first semi-final of the open weight tournament features a bout between Amir Aliakbari who defeated the returning Heath Herring against Valentin Moldavsky who defeated Szymon Bajor in the opening quarter-final bout on Thursday morning.

In the second semi-final, Mirko “Cro Cop” Filipovic who scored a 2nd round TKO win over Muhammed Lawal will take on Kaito “Baruto” Hoovelson who bested veteran Tsuyoshi Kosaka in a lopsided decision win.

This bout has turned into a bit of a grudge match after Sumo wrestler “Baruto” was left non to pleased with Cro Cop following comments made by the Croatian in the aftermath of Rizin FF 2 last September.

The winners of the semi-final will progress to the final and compete for the the right to be called the 2016 Rizin Grand Prix champion.

In the co-main event which pits Tatsuya Kawajiri (35-10-2) who has had almost 50 professional mixed martial arts bouts will go up against BJJ world champion Kron Gracie (3-0) who will be making his fourth appearance since making the transition to MMA.

Also on the card multiple times BJJ world champion Gabi Garcia (3-0) who will goe up against wrestler come mixed martial artist Rumiko Hotta (5-4) in a classic battle of David versus Goliath.

The card was also meant to feature Charles “Crazy Horse” Bennett (30-30-2) who was scheduled to takes on Minoru Kimora (0-1-0) until issue gaining a visa nixed the fight.

A last minute addition to the card, hot Japanese prospect Tenshin Nasukawa has been granted his wish by Rizin management and will fight once again, this time against the Philippians’ Kawika Oligo.
