Lancashire’s Ian Entwistle will face highly touted Welsh prospect Brett Johns in a bantamweight clash on March 18 at UFC London. The pair meet in what should be an enthralling encounter at the O2 Arena.

Mixed fortunes for Entwistle so far

“Enty”(9-3) has had mixed fortunes in his UFC career so far with one win over Anthony Birchak and two losses to Dan Hooker and Alejandro Perez. After four successive submission victories, Ian signed with UFC where he had his debut against Hooker. One thing is guaranteed with Ian Entwistle and that is excitement. Every single one of the Accrington man’s fights, including his five amateur bouts, have ended in the first round whether it be defeat or victory. This is clearly a smart choice of fighter to include on the card, given the nature of the Top Team athlete.

Meanwhile, “The Pikey” (13-0) has enjoyed a flawless career so far, amassing 13 victories in as many fights. Whilst having a couple of close decisions where the Welsh fighter took a split decision win, the ‘Jack’ has enjoyed a stellar career and after making the step-up to the UFC in 2016, he didn’t fail to deliver on his debut as he took a unanimous decision victory over Kwan Ho Kwak. Undoubtedly one of Britain’s top mixed martial arts prospects, Brett has a chance to prove his worth against a very dangerous opponent in Entwistle.

Card completion?

With the announcement of this fight, it is believed that the card for UFC London or UFC Fight Night 107 as it is also known, is completed. Despite the rumours of Joanna Jedrzejczyk or Joanne Calderwood making an appearance on the card, it seems the card has been finalised with another all-Brit clash taking the 12th spot on the card.
