Light-heavyweight gold is up for grabs as Cage Warriors returns to Dublin, Ireland on March 4.

On their return to Dublin at the 3Arena, Cage Warriors 81 will play host to a world title fight between Northern Ireland’s Karl Moore and former TUF competitor Josh Clarke as both men look to capture the vacant light-heavyweight championship.

The Irishman enters his bout on March 4 with a record of 7-1, including his first-round knockout victory over Paco Estevez at Cage Warriors Unplugged at the BT Sport studios back in November.

Making his promotional debut Clarke is also coming into this fight in good form having won five of his last six bouts with four coming by way of stoppage; including his victory over Brent Knopp at SFL 51 last October. The 32-year-old has a professional record of 10-3 and was the second pick for Team Penn in season 19 of The Ultimate Fighter.

Cage Warriors president Graham Boylan gave his insight on the CW81 main event.

“Karl has the chance to become the latest Irish CW Champion – and we’ve had some great ones – but this could go either way, all the way. It’s an exciting fight”

Also featuring on the card is a featherweight bout between prospects Lloyd Manning and Paul McBain.
Manning is another Irishman making waves in the sport having made a perfect start to his pro career with both his victories having come within the first minute. Scotland’s McBain comes into the fight with the same record as his opponent of 2-0, with both victories coming by way of first-round TKO.

“The Alpha Female” Catherine Costigan returns to the CW fold after two-and-a-half years away where she fought under both the Invicta and BAMMA banners. The Irish born fighter is set to face England’s Wendy McKenna in an atomweight (105lbs) contest.

Tickets for the event are on sale now via Ticketmaster.ie, priced at €98, €38 and €24.
