The main event of MACTO Championships’ debut showcase has been solidified with Cage Warriors and BAMMA veteran Kyle Redfearn joining the ambitious new promotion as he steps in to face returning UFC veteran Nick Osipczak who takes his first steps on the road back to the UFC at Arena: MK in Milton Keynes on June 27.

Press release:

MACTO Championships, the UK’s hottest new MMA promotion, are proud to announce that Kyle Redfearn has stepped in to face the returning Nick Osipczak in an exciting welterweight fight that will headline the stacked card of MACTO Championships’ inaugural event on June 27 at the Arena: MK in Milton Keynes.

Fighting out of Ferryhill, Co Durham, and under the guidance of coaches Davey Grant, Curt Warburton, Carl Fawcett and Terry Fahy, Kyle Redfearn steps in to the main event having been victorious in three of his last four outings.

With a background in boxing, the 24-year-old joins MACTO with an 8-6 record that promises an action packed encounter with each of his career victories coming in the very first round; 6 via knockout/TKO and 2 by way of submission.

Following a 5 year hiatus from the sport, 30-year-old UFC veteran ‘Slick’ Nick Osipczak faces a stern test in Kyle Redfearn for his eagerly anticipated return to competition.

Osipczak will be best known by MMA fans for his destruction of Matt Riddle at UFC 105 in 2009, followed by a series of close decision losses, including two split decisions against standout UFC veterans Rick Story and Duane Ludwig.

Since then, Osipczak has travelled throughout Malaysia and beyond, adding to his extensive knowledge of martial arts, and he feels MACTO is the perfect platform to make a big statement on his journey back to the top.

Fighting as a specialist in Tai Chi Chuan and BJJ, and with a 5-3 record featuring 4 first round stoppages, 3 submissions and 2 TKOs, Osipczak is coached by the likes of Master Bill, Gracie Jiu Jitsu Black Belt – Professor Eddie Kone, and Dean ‘Renegade’ Amasinger who will also be in action at MACTO Championships on June 27.
The co-main event features KO artists Alex Montagnani vs David Round, in a night of action packed fights.
