Cage Warriors veterans Stevie Ray, Aisling Daly and Neil Seery, now with the UFC, discuss the anticipated return of CWFC, the brand which was widely regarded as Europe’s top MMA promotion under the guidance of former CEO Graham Boylan who has since acquired the promotion’s intellectual property rights. The apparent decline of Cage Warriors came following the promotion’s last show in November of 2014. CWFC fell off the radar following the Copper Arena Show and Boylan went on to resign as CEO.
Ray, Daly and Seery all achieved prominence in UK and Irish MMA under the Cage Warriors banner. Scotland’s Ray won the CWFC lightweight title and completed a historic UKMMA trilogy with UFC veteran Curt Warburton, while Ireland’s Seery claimed the promotion’s flyweight championship and Daly, also of Ireland, lead the way as a pioneer of Women’s MMA alongside British rival Rosi Sexton.
